Dorotea came into being in the summer of 2016, fruit of an extensive professional trajectory dedicated to women’s footwear. It was a passion that had aroused the interest of Dorotea Valls Adler from an early age and, fascinated by the tradition of this ancient profession, she threw herself into it and gave it her own, personal touch.
Each of her models is the result of an intelligent combination of creativity and technical know-how, rooted in her own philosophy in which technique and aesthetics go hand in hand and in which style and comfort are inseparable.
Dorotea began working with Camper in 1989, after which she produced collections for Antonio Miró from 1992 until 2000, when she launched her own company. In 2010, following an intense and spectacular decade for the brand, she decided to pause and re-evaluate the company in keeping with the 21st Century. In 2016, this period of research and reflection culminated in Dorotea, a project which remains faithful to the DNA of creativity and attention to detail of the designer who conceives the relationship with the customer as a personal experience.
The Showroom, a light, welcoming space in the historic quarter of Barcelona, serves as a meeting point where the designer and her team personally greet, guide and advise clients to showcase collections and models.

Premium designs made of Italian leather, with anatomically tested forms and heels to guarantee comfort, adapting to the needs of the contemporary woman – the source of inspiration for the company. And with the modern woman in mind, Dorotea has created a line of handbags in the designer’s unique and timeless style, made by Barcelona artisans using the highest quality leather and trimmings.
